Art Brussels was founded in 1968 and is known for being among the most notable contemporary art fairs in Europe. It is also considered to be one of the must-see art fair events on the international art calendar. This event was created to offer a unique opportunity for discovering the cultural and artistic scene in this European capital, showcasing its rich art varieties. The event takes place annually in April and has become a very popular fair that welcomes 25,000 attendees. As of 2016, Art Brussels has taken place in the Tour & Taxis building right in the heart of the city.
As of 2019, the fair launched the INVITED section, a new and diverse section that is there to support emerging art spaces and galleries that have never participated in this event before. These art spaces and galleries are selected to be a part of this event because they have a unique spin on the traditional gallery format of displaying art.
The event is set to start on April 22nd to the 25th, 2021. Tickets for this event are expected to go up for sale sometime in March 2021. These tickets can be purchased at the Art Brussels website.
