The Taste of Chicago, or just simply The Taste locally, is considered to be the largest food festival in the world. This event, which is held annually, takes place over 5 days at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois during the month of July. The festival is also considered to be the largest festival in Chicago. In addition to food, there are also musical events and rides that people can enjoy while attending this festival. Best of all, this event has free admission, allowing you to have more money to take in the amazing food, beverage, and activities that you can enjoy while at the festival.
The 2020 Taste of Chicago Food Festival was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This ended up being replaced by an event called the “Taste of Chicago To-Go”, which offered an online directory of various vendors, video cooking demos, and a food truck procession. It also included an expansion of the Community Eats program, a program that would bring food to first responders to honor their dedication during these times.
As of right now, there are no dates currently set for the 2021 Taste of Chicago Food Festival. It was announced during a city budget meeting that this festival was not currently funded in their budget, which could mean that the event will also be cancelled in 2021.
